History

Andras House Ltd has been at the forefront of developing and operating hotels in Northern Ireland since 1990, when we built the Holiday Inn Garden Court; the first new hotel in Belfast in over 20 years. This development anticipated the boom in the Irish hotel market and has been followed by five more Internationally- branded hotels by Andras House Ltd.

 

1981 - Andras House Ltd was established including a series of retail units, restaurants and office blocks.

1990 - The 82 bedroom Plaza Hotel opened; the first hotel to open in Belfast for over 20 years. Further hotel developments followed including Renshaws Hotel in 1992.

1996 - Holiday Inn Express Belfast opens with 114 bedrooms.

2001 - The 120 bedroom, 4-star Ramada Hotel opened

2002/2003 - Days Hotel opened

2009 - The first Ibis franchised hotels in Northern Ireland, Ibis Belfast and Ibis Queen’s Quarter, were opened

2010 - Andras House Ltd started one of Belfast’s most ambitious and visionary development projects. Lincoln Building - a £80 million project.

2012 - Cordia Serviced Apartments opens on Belfast’s Lisburn Road

2015 – The 3* Days Hotel was rebranded and fully upgraded to 4* Holiday Inn Belfast City Centre

2016 – The 4* Ramada Plaza Belfast becomes Crowne Plaza Belfast after a £3m upgrade and remodelling of the hotel’s public areas.  The rebrand introduces the first Crowne Plaza to Northern Ireland

2016 - Work commences on the 179 bedroom Hampton by Hilton on Hope Street. The first of its kind in Northern Ireland.

2017 - Work commences on a 60-bedroom extension for Holiday Inn Belfast City Queen’s Quarter. Work is set to commence on the upgrade and redesign of Crowne Plaza Belfast’s 120 bedrooms, including completion of 4 newly remodelled suites
