Job Title : Duty Manager
Responsible to : General Manager
Location : Express by Holiday Inn, 106a University Street, Belfast
Rate Of Pay : £7.00 per hour

Purpose of Job : Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel, the well being of its guests and employees, and to protect the company from potential loss or damage, ensuring consistency of product and service.
Main Duties:
- To ensure the smooth running of the Hotel during shifts with regards to both guest and staff needs.
- To monitor and ensure the smooth running of the Conference and Banqueting Department.
- To be responsible for the co-ordination of all the departments and too make periodic tours of all public areas.
- To handle any guest complaints and remedy if possible.
- To be responsible for security (in all aspects) by making regular floor checks of the hotel.
- To have complete knowledge of the running of every department, and the duties performed by all staff.
- To be aware of the emergency procedures, full knowledge of the fire manual, and to ensure that all staff and supervisors are similarly aware.
- Be available at all times to assist and oversee any operation in the hotel that may require assistance.
- To make contact with guests whether resident or not and to make a report on feedback/complaints.
- To make contact with VIP's staying in the Hotel.
- To be available to open certain sections of the Hotel, such as storerooms, beverage store etc., when the situation warrants it.
- To be responsible for the Safe/Change.
- To report any incident or drop in standards to the Head of that department, to ensure corrective action is taken, it is logged in the Duty Managers logbook.
- To enter main details of the shift in the Duty Manager's Hand book.
- To make instantaneous response to any bleep call.
- Upkeep working area to a high standard of health and safety by observing health and safety requirements.
- Upkeep of equal opportunities policy to ensure that there is a neutral working environment.
- Any other duties requested by Management.
